When my family was living in a suburb of Denver, my mom wanted me to apply to be in the inaugural freshman class of a new private high school that was opening up.
For the admissions process, I wrote an essay on why abortion should be legal, with the thesis centering around an omnipotent and omniscient deity basically laughing at the plans of humans making silly reproductive decisions.
The school was the high school affiliated with Regis University.
Run by Jesuits.
They admitted me.
I was 14 years old.
Then my family moved to East Tennessee.
I hadn’t even been to Bible study, yet, just raised by feminist humanist pagans in the suburbs.
My objective is to raise the same, ones that strike fear in the hearts of sexual deviants.
