I accurately labeled certain voices who were consistently loud about specific themes as NIMBY neoreactionaries whose families had abandoned them and advised they seek therapy for their unprocessed hurt and grief.
Their reaction was to feel the white-hot glow of their cheeks as they experienced the sensation of “shame”, a foreign concept for the shameless.
