Once you connect the global fascist creep to industrial agents who are pot-committed to extract natural resources that are necessary to fuel car culture, you can’t unsee it.
A society, government budgets, and culture that prioritizes our built environment around cars, rather than people, aligns with the objectives of people who hate The Others™.
The Others™ would rather walk, bike, scooter, or take public transport.
Their sin is not wanting – or being able to afford – to drive.
Car culture enable people to cut themselves off from the reality outside their tinted windows.
The decay of infrastructure and systemic failure of people visible through the tempered glass is easier to dismiss.
Adopting that magical thinking that the worst things are not happening, and that life is Disneyland is much easier from inside a car.
