Agriculture, manufacturing, hospitality, and service industries rely on undocumented immigrants to keep their margins healthy.
They know this.
The owners know this.
The government knows this.
That is why a “path to citizenship” is never made into a reality.
It behooves business interests to maintain the “fake”, cheap labor supply both constant and available.
The system is favorably broken.
